It has been an impactful two weeks in Ibadan, Nigeria thanks to Africa CDC. The Executive Director of the Mike Yanou Foundation has completed a two-week short course on Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy, sponsored by the Africa Centre for Disease Control. This intensive training, hosted by the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, Neurosciences, and Substance Abuse at the University of Ibadan, focused on enhancing leadership skills in mental health.
Our Executive Director’s participation in the CDC fellowship program in Nigeria marks a significant step forward for the Mike Yanou Foundation. The program, designed to build capacity in mental health leadership, equips our team with the knowledge and skills needed to address the complex challenges of substance abuse among adolescents and youths.
The Mission of the Mike Yanou Foundation is to provide comprehensive mental health and psycho-social support to individuals and their families and this milestone strengthens our commitment to providing top-notch mental health and psychosocial support services to our communities.
