Engaging the Muea Community on Zero Stigma

As part of our project funded by @Gilead Sciences on Reducing HIV/AIDS Stigma and Promoting Social Cohesion within Communities, the Mike Yanou Foundation visited the Muea community. Our team had a mission to educate, inform, and equip over 100 youths on the importance of HIV prevention, stigma reduction, and cohesion on 19/02/2025.

Through engaging and interactive sessions, we provided students with accurate and age-appropriate information about HIV/AIDS. Their thoughtful questions and insightful comments demonstrated their grasp of the subject.

Building on this, we guided them through practical steps to promote HIV reduction and create a stigma-free environment. This experience reinforced our conviction that education and awareness are key to combating HIV/AIDS. We can create an inclusive environment free from stigma by empowering individuals, families, and communities.

Together, let’s reduce the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS and promote social cohesion!
