On February 14th 2025, the Mike Yanou Foundation participated in a thought-provoking radio session today at CRTV’s Mount Cameroon FM, tackling the critical topic of ‘HIV/AIDS: Understanding its impacts and stages.’ We addressed common misconceptions, explained the virus’s transmission, discussed disease stages, and shared prevention strategies.
As part of our mission to promote mental health awareness and support, we recognize the intricate link between HIV/AIDS and mental well-being. By confronting HIV/AIDS stigma, we aim to create a supportive environment, empowering individuals to prioritize their mental health.
This initiative is part of our project, ‘Reducing HIV/AIDS Stigma And Promoting Cohesion Within Communities,’ funded by Gilead Sciences. Leveraging the radio’s vast reach, we’re promoting education, encouraging community engagement, and fostering a supportive environment for those affected by HIV/AIDS.
