During our participatory session in the Small Babanki Mezam Division North West Region of Cameroon, the widows brought to our knowledge the important role men could play in improving their circumstances.
One of the elderly widows said “There are cultural norms that limit us as widows to explore our full potentials and desires. We would like to commend the effort made by some enlightened men in our community to eradicate some of the harmful norms; like the isolation of women in widowhood. I believe we will make much progress if we work together with men to eradicate practices that place limitations on women in widowhood”.
Join us as we continue to empower widows: unlocking their potential to embrace new possibilities.
