In this Light, we will be partnering with Mbua Emmanuel for the BONAVADA FOOTBALL for HEALTH TOURNAMENT (12th Annual Edition – 2024). The main aim of the *BONAVADA Football for Health Tournament* is to promote health, unity, and well-being among the 13 BONAVADA host communities within Buea, a region affected by the ongoing conflict.
Social cohesion is extremely important for unity, peace and solidarity in communities, especially crisis-affected zones. Sport can play a major role here: sport connects and brings people together, regardless of their background. Sport and physical education can promote and strengthen social cohesion by providing a playground for enjoying physical activities together with people from various social and cultural backgrounds.
