Bonavda Football for Health Tournament

Football unites people of every age, gender, language, ethnicity, culture and religion. As a result, it provides an effective and low-cost tool that aligns with the World Health Organization’s strive for “Health for All”, which is the basis for its primary healthcare strategy to promote health, human dignity, and enhanced quality of life.

The project recognizes the Bonavada community’s diverse culture and the inhabitants’ challenges and seeks to use sport as a vehicle for positive change. BONAVADA is a rural community with a strong youth base in Buea, southwest of Cameroon. It is made up of the following 13 villages; Bokulu, Bokwai, Bonakanda, Bonganjo, Boteva, Bova 1, Bova 2, Bwiteva, Bwitingi, Ewonda, Mwangai, Upper Bokova and Upper Bolifamba.
