True are the words of Pope John XXIII, ‘The family is the first essential cell of human society,’ we recognize that the foundation of any thriving community starts with strong, positive family dynamics. For Fathers, embracing positive masculinity means not only being providers but also nurturing emotional well-being and modelling values that will shape the future of our children.
On the 6th of December, we facilitated a workshop with the 35 men and community leaders of the Moliwe community in Fako Divison, Cameroon. This was geared towards educating them on positive masculinity. It was an opportunity for men and community heads to explore how they can create supportive environments for growth in our families.
By prioritizing communication, emotional support, and active involvement, they can break down traditional barriers and become positive role models who pass down values of respect, empathy, and integrity to the next generation.
