Our Student in Artivism project which was aimed at building the resilience and confidence of children in the crisis zone through Oral poetry and Drama with ka ey focus on the Bolifamba Community of Buea, South West Region 2023/2024 was marked by a tremendous success. With our partner STAGE LIFE, we marked the following achievements;
– 64 Children received training in oral poetry, drama performance and stage management.
– 10 children received certificates and were recognised by the Delegation of Arts and Culture Buea for their brilliant performance during the World International Book Days.
– The children were able to showcase their skills and talent at important events such as:
1. International Day of the African Child organised by the Cameroon Child Protection Cluster for NorthWest and South West Region (CCPAOR) partners,
2. International Book and Poetry Day Organised by #MINAC Buea.
3. Launching of the Adolescent Girls Advisory Board (AGAB) in Buea organised by UNICEF CameroonAdolescent.
– Two of the children got fully funded scholarships to further their education.
