Mike Yanou Foundation in partnership with Royalty World had a roundtable discussion with the women of Mile 16 Bolifamba, capacitating them on drug abuse and its effect on families and society as a whole.
This was done through awareness raising, educating the women on the importance of developing their self-esteem and how to survive the challenges and stress in their daily activities and also enabling them to mitigate the risk of GBV exposure in their communities.
Furthermore, through the participatory approach, the women were able to express their opinions based on experiences in their families and communities regarding drug abuse and its implications on young boys affecting the mental health of the entire society.
